The Academy is composed of leaders in the chiropractic profession to fulfill the need for promoting the practice of chiropractic for children and families and the fostering of good practice within the profession.

The Academy Board and its Advisors consist of a community of invited representatives from each Chiropractic College in the US and Canada. The purpose of the Academy is to evaluate and endorse international post graduate certification and diplomate programs relevant to family care.

The Academic Board and its Advisors participate in test compliation, administration, grading and certification of eligible candidates for all Diplomates in Chiropractic that pertain to the care of children. This includes Certifications and Diplomates in Pediatrics, Pregnancy Care, Women’s Health and Family Wellness. Additionally, the Academy Board of Directors collaborate with academic and clinical expertise towards the establishment of family practice evidence based guidelines.

The Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice offers the chiropractic profession a unified, apolitical assembly of proficient, academic and clinical advisors specific to the care of children and pregnant women. This is the first time in chiropractic history where both experts in practice and instructors in chiropractic colleges have been drawn together to cooperatively establish post graduate content and the advancement for specialties within the profession.

The Academy is a 501-C3 non-profit organization. Membership dues support the advancement of post graduate courses for the benefit of the entire profession. Academy membership is open to all licensed Doctors of Chiropractic who have achieved Certification and Diplomate Status in any aspect of family practice.
